REDUCED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Politop monitors energy consumption with integrated systems, produces energy through photovoltaics and recovers waste heat for drying finished products.
PEPS RECYCLING
Since 1998, Politop has been recovering and recycling expanded polystyrene, now over 35% of the material, operating as Corepla’s PEPS platform since 2019.
Waste sorting
Politop produces 100% recyclable EPS and manages material separation, reducing waste destined for landfills and incinerators.
LOW WATER FOOTPRINT
Polystyrene does not pollute water resources; only 6 litres of water are needed to produce 1 kg of EPS, much less than other materials.
RESPONSE TO CAM
Politop products comply with Minimum Environmental Criteria, including defined quantities of recycled material without compromising quality and performance.
COMPLIANCE WITH THE ONU AGENDA
Politop adheres to the UN principles for sustainability, reducing environmental impact, promoting energy efficiency and offering safe and sustainable building solutions.
COBAT EPS CONSORTIUM
Politop is a founding member, at national level, of the Cobat EPS Consortium, an organisation that will coordinate and promote the recovery and recycling of expanded polystyrene in Italy with greater force. This commitment sees us at the forefront of building an increasingly efficient and widespread supply chain, capable of transforming every piece of waste into a new resource.
